Retirement – A New Beginning
Seems like by the time we get to the age of retirement, life should be figured out. We’ve worked hard, saved some money, and are ready for a restful and relaxing post career life. Retirement flows naturally into the next chapter, and this is enough.
But for many, it is a time of confusion, unsettled feelings, and a sense of “now what”. They are done with the daily grind. The wealth of knowledge and experience accumulated over the years sits inside with no outlet and can cause unsettled feelings. These feelings may include a sense of loss or meaning in life. Unfortunately, some people do not spend the time looking at what they really want during their “mature years” and simply float from one thing to another or one happy hour to another and the days become repetitive and frankly boring.
What I love about retirement is the opportunity it presents to anyone and everyone to reset life and begin a new chapter. Finding new interests or putting into action a dream you never had time for can turn the chaos into the energy needed to make a positive change in life.
At Shaping Memories, our retired clients find meaning in life. We work with individuals to ignite passion and purpose while finding balance to do the activities they enjoy like golfing, artistic work, socializing and spending more time with family. #shapingmemories.net
